Property Prices in Maharashtra to Increase from April 2022

Property prices in Mumbai and Thane will rise from April 2022 as Maharashtra Government plans to impose an additional 1% metro cess on property transactions in the state. The 1% metro cess is a transport surcharge. It is aimed to be used to fund transport infrastructure projects like metro, bridges, and flyovers in the state.
